¡Recuerdo! ( " I remember") . History teachers say that we learn from the past. As the classic reference goes, those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat the same mistakes. What do you think people will remember from this era? Por que es necesario recorder?
Your Spanish class is going to prepare una capsula del tiempo ( a time capsule). Each student is to collect 5 items that symbolically represent some aspect of current society. Imagine that your capula del tiempo will be open in 50myears. What will people want to know about us? What is considered de moda right now? In addition to material items (clothing styles, music ) include something hat represents our society as a whole ( a print out from the Internet?). Be sure to include one item that is highly symbolic of you alone ( a picture, a cross, a credit card).
Each student will present his or her 5 items to the class. Give a brief explanation or description of each item. Then make another statement about why you would include this in the time capsule (el condicional) + why it is necessary to include certain items (el subjuntivo); you must use a combination of both condicional and subjuntivo statements. You will give a written summary of your 5 items to your teacher ( you'll actually keep your possessions), but your teacher will collect and save your thought for future years!
1. Students will collect their items and write their descriptions. This is to be word processed and save to the server. All items collected should be in digital form and also saved to the server.
2. Each student will acquire a Glogster account.
3.During your visit to the rm 500, Mrs Siwinski will instruct you on the how to add text, sounds, images, links, etc to your glogster. You will record you audio selections in Garageband and export it as MP3 to be uploaded into glogster.
4. Since Glogste is a cloud application you will have time at home to finish your interactive poster. You shold be ready to embed your code and present to class on Wednesday , Dec 1.
5. Once your glogs are finished. You will go to your dashboard, scroll down to the thumbs of your glogs, copy the embed code for this glog. go to your Blog, add anew post, select the html tag at the top and paste in the code. Now save and publish that post.
6. You will also add your embed code to the wikispace for this project. Go to capsuladeltiempo.wikispaces.com, select your name, open the Edit tab, slect the widget button on the top, scroll down to , add other HTML and in box paste code. Save the wiki page.
